Bones – Season 3 Saturday, Feb 21 2009

Bones just keeps getting better and better. This season, there’s a mysterious cannibal serial killer on the loose that keeps the team on their toes, and has a shocking accomplice from within the team who helps him carry put his ghoulish plans.

If that’s not juicy enough, Brennan’s dad goes on trial for murdering the Deputy Director of the FBI. Russ, Brennan’s brother finds himself behind bars after being on the run.

Dr Lance Sweets joins the cast as the psychologist determined to figure out if Brennan and Booth’s partnership is worth keeping. He also provides some critical insights in the Gormagon case of the cannibalistic killer.

Angela and Hodgins are determined to track down Angela’s missing husband so he can grant Angela a divorce.

Zac comes back from Iraq, mentally shaken and asks for his job back. Cam’s sister is introduced and we see a little bit about her family.

But the shocking twist at the end really gets you in the last few minutes of the season finale.

A fantastic and brilliant series that keeps going from strength to strength!

Bones – Season 3 – Complete [2007] [DVD]

Bones – Season 2 Saturday, Nov 8 2008

The second series of Bones was even better than the first!

Temperance Brennan is a Forensic Anthropologist, who along with her CIA Partner solves crimes using the victims bones as clues.

I loved the stories in this series which were each as unique as the other, and I love the fact that our bones tell a lot about who we are.

This season focuses much more on the characters and their lives. Temperance has a boyfriend who she likes and has to work with the newly appointed, Dr Camille Saroyan who becomes her boss. The two have friction at first as they get used to working with each other, but eventually learn to understand each other’s talents.

Zack grows up a lot in this series and finally finishes one of his Phds.

Jack and Angela become a couple, after much reluctance on Angela’s part.

Booth goes to therapy and his therapist is unusual, but very funny! Look out for the guest star who plays him!

The thing I love about this series is the engaging storylines and the dynamics between the cast, which is what makes it worth watching.

Bones – Season 2 [2006]

Bones – Season 1 Friday, Aug 15 2008

Bones is a unique show about a Forensic Anthropologist, Dr Temperance Brennan who with the help of her CIA partner, Seeley Booth, and her team investigate the murders of various people and find their killers. Along with this is Brennan or “Bones”’s search for her missing parents who disappeared when she was a child.

The stories are told with the death being shown and then investigated by the team. Along the way we learn more about each of the characters and the mystery of Brennan’s parents becomes even more murky after she finds out some shocking truths about them which leads to the climax of the season.

Some truly outstanding performances by Emily Deschanel and David Borenaz, who share a good chemistry on screen. The supporting cast are also excellent and help to bring this unique show to life.

Random fact: In the pilot, Temperance says the next closest forensic anthropologist after her is in Montreal, where the original novels are set.
